Next Womens Self Defense Training Course - SAIT, Calgary

This course will empower you to avoid and manage confrontational situations! Self defense training will help you develop the skills necessary to deal with everything from verbal harassment to physical abuse. You will gain the necessary confidence along with the skill set needed to deal with a wide variety of situations common in today's society. Class discussions will be a place for you to explore your feelings and your fears, and a place for you to find your external strength and internal power. This course will be instructed by two experienced Female Black Belts of the SAIT Karate Club. Together they have over 15 years of combined experience in Martial Arts and Self Defense Training.

Practical Sessions
  -  Self Defense Techniques
  -  Awareness and Assertive Skills
  -  Anti-Abduction Techniques
  -  Basic Striking Drills
  -  Escapes, Holds and Ground work
        (note: Wear comfortable clothing for all sessions)

  -  Target to Victim
  -  Using Verbal Techniques
  -  Bullies and Predators
  -  Safety Awareness, Risk Reduction, and Support Systems
